ISO 9001 Quality Management System
Today’s major developments in the fields of information, technology and communication are dragging societies into fierce competition and an economic race where new developments are experienced every day. The globalization of world trade has expanded the scope and boundaries of competition, and the number of participants in the race has increased. Moreover, participants in this race are becoming more qualified every passing day. Customers have become more conscious, more knowledgeable, and customer expectations have reached the highest level. It is no longer enough to meet customer expectations; it is necessary to go beyond customer expectations. The pace of change has increased, and developments in technology in particular have made previously unimaginable applications possible. It is now very difficult for organizations that cannot keep up with change and the pace of change to survive. Businesses can only survive by providing goods or services that meet customer needs and expectations in all sectors. For this reason, the implementation of a Quality Management System that covers all stages from the design stage to production, marketing, and after-sales services and aims for continuous improvement has become an indispensable condition in organizations. ISO 9000 Quality System Standards have become the most popular and applied international standards since the date they were published (1987). The ISO 9000 Quality Management System Standards Series demonstrates how an effective management system can be established, documented and maintained.
The ISO 9000 Quality Standards Series is a set of standards published by the International Standards Organization (ISO) that guide organizations in establishing and developing a Quality Management System to increase customer satisfaction. ISO 9001 is the standard that defines the conditions to be applied during the establishment of the Quality Management System and forms the basis for documentation. In addition, there are also guide standards published by the International Standards Organization (ISO). ISO 9001 and the guide standards are called the ISO 9000 series. The ISO 9000 standard series given below was developed for organizations of all types and sizes to establish and implement an effective Quality Management System.

ISO 22716 – Cosmetics Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is one of the cornerstones of the new European Union regulations for cosmetics. This regulation places very high requirements on consumer safety. Among all these new legal requirements, all cosmetic products circulating on the European market must be manufactured in accordance with the Cosmetics Good Manufacturing Practices defined in the ISO 22716 standards. The standard directly concerns all participants in the cosmetics production chain. All participants, including material manufacturers, final product assemblers, distributors and importers/exporters, are included and new responsibilities have been defined.
All cosmetic products circulating on the European market must be manufactured in accordance with the Cosmetics Good Manufacturing Practices defined in the ISO 22716 standards. Other requirements include increased responsibilities for manufacturers and distributors. Product labeling, more comprehensive product dossiers and mandatory notifications are required for promotion to the European Commission, especially for toxic substances. Other countries with developed cosmetics markets will see Good Manufacturing Practices as a mandatory requirement and will adapt them to their markets.
